I am Dinu, but some people call me Dino. I’m from Ooty, a beautiful hill station in India. As a kid, I was fascinated by gadgets, particularly mobile phones. This fascination began with the memory of my dad's bulky feature phone with a camera – which felt exotic back then. During family shopping trips, my favorite spot was always the gadget store. Even at seven, my curiosity about these tiny devices persisted, often annoying the salespeople. The desire to own a phone led me to create paper versions with cameras, laser beams, wings, and various other imaginative features, marking the start of my subconscious interest in design.

Fifteen years later, I studied product design at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. Studying design formally taught me many things and made me fall even more in love with the practice. I enjoy how the discipline is not constrained, and neither are the learnings. I am fascinated by how design has the power to bring joy or even change someone's life. My approach to design is centered around creating experiences that make life fun. I used my thesis project as an opportunity to explore this further and developed a philosophy I call the "Tools of Joyful Operations" (or 'Tojo').

Apart from design, I code, drink coffee, and watch cricket. On a typical lazy afternoon, you can find me in the studio, watching videos of my favorite supercars.
